BUILDER / FOREMAN

THE OPPORTUNITY
Active Talent is partnering with a well-established and growing residential building company based in Oamaru, delivering high-quality bespoke homes, house & land packages and residential subdivisions across the region.
With a strong pipeline of work and exciting projects underway, we're looking for a trade-qualified Builder / Foreman who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to be part of a supportive team where their contribution is genuinely valued.
THE ROLE
You'll work across a variety of quality residential projects, with the opportunity to take ownership and responsibility as your experience allows, including:

Building bespoke new homes and residential projects

Carpentry from framing through to finishing

Reading and interpreting plans

Coordinating work efficiently and accurately

Supporting the day-to-day running of projects

Working closely with the wider construction team and subcontractors

Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You'll bring solid residential building experience together with a practical, reliable approach, including:

Trade qualification in Carpentry

Current LBP or working towards this

Residential building experience in New Zealand

Sound understanding of NZ residential construction and build sequencing

Strong organisation and planning skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Ability to work independently and as part of the wider team

Full NZ Driver Licence
